about me
Why I write music
I don’t write to impress. I write to remember something I never quite understood. Sometimes a piece begins with a single image: a tree in the wind, a hand letting go, the pause before snow touches ground. Music lets me slow down the world. And in that slowing down, something essential appears. This is what I try to share. Not answers, but openings. Not perfection, but presence.

Music in Connection
In addition to solo work, I collaborate regularly as: - Composer for theatre & musical productions - Pianist and accompanist for singers, actors, ensembles - Arranger and musical guide for educational projects - Live improviser for ceremonies or collective moments I value depth, trust, and presence in every collaboration. If you’re looking for music that listens as much as it speaks, I’m open to working together.

Florejan Verschueren (°1978)
Is a Belgian composer and pianist. He lives in Hoogstraten with his wife and their four children, in a house surrounded by trees and stories. His music blends classical depth with lyrical simplicity, shaped by silence, nature, and time. Whether composing for theatre, playing on national TV, or guiding singers in rehearsal rooms, Florejan approaches each project with the same quiet intensity: to listen closely, to serve the music, and to move people—gently, through sound. At home, in his studio overlooking the woods, he writes music that invites stillness and connection. His grand piano—a family heirloom—reminds him daily that melody is more than sound: it is legacy, presence, and care.
